A little help with your training log

Quick answers so you can get back to training.

Do I need an account?

You can explore the demo without one. Sign in with Google to keep your own training history across devices. Demo records stay in that browser and are separate from your account.

What should I put in my notes?

Try one thing that worked, one thing you struggled with, or a detail you want to remember. “Kept losing the underhook in half guard—ask about elbow position next time” is already useful.

Can I edit or delete a session?

Open a session from your training list and choose Edit session. You can change its fields and notes. Delete session asks for confirmation before removing it.

Where are my older sessions?

Use the arrows on the monthly calendar. Recent training follows the month you’re viewing. The monthly goal card continues to show the current month’s progress.

How do technique statistics work?

A technique is counted once per session in which it was logged. Select All time, Last year or Last month to change the range. A technique with no logged sessions does not necessarily mean you have never trained it.

Can I import old training notes?

Yes. Open Settings → Import training history. Paste up to 100 sessions or 20,000 characters, then review the results. Check dates and durations carefully. Missing values may use defaults, which are explained in the review. Nothing is saved until you confirm.

Can I download my training data?

Open Settings → Download training data (CSV). The export includes every month, regardless of your current calendar or training-type filter. CSV files open in spreadsheet apps such as Excel.

Can I put Octo BJJ on my phone’s home screen?

On iPhone, open the website in Safari, tap Share and choose Add to Home Screen. On Android, use Chrome’s menu and choose Install app or Add to home screen. A step-by-step guide is in Settings → Install on your phone.

Does it work without internet?

Some app files may be cached, but an internet connection is needed to sign in, load account sessions and save changes. Do not rely on offline logging.

How accurate are calorie estimates?

They are rough estimates based on your optional weight, duration and selected intensity. They include resting energy and do not measure your actual effort. Leave weight unset if you prefer not to see estimates.

What if saving or importing fails?

Check your connection and keep a copy of any long notes before refreshing. If an import fails, check the session list before retrying. Do not sign out while you have unsaved changes you need to keep.
